Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using BookAm. Last updated: October 2026.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the BookAm platform ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. BookAm is operated in Nigeria and governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

2. Description of Service

BookAm provides a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables service professionals (Vendors) to create online booking pages, manage appointments, and collect payments (including deposits) from their clients. We act solely as a technology provider and are not a party to any agreement formed between Vendors and their clients.

3. Vendor Responsibilities

  • You represent that you are legally permitted to operate your business in Nigeria.
  • You are solely responsible for accurately describing your services, prices, and deposit policies.
  • You must fulfill all bookings made through your BookAm booking page. In the event of a cancellation, you are responsible for communicating with the client and processing refunds if applicable.
  • You may not use BookAm to engage in any illegal, fraudulent, or abusive activities.

4. Payments and Deposits

All payment processing is handled securely by our licensed third-party partners (e.g., Monnify). BookAm does not directly store your payment information.

Platform Fees: Free tier users are subject to a 5% platform fee per booking. Users who have purchased a valid booking bundle enjoy zero platform fees on their allocated bookings.

Deposits: As a Vendor, upfront deposits collected via your booking page are settled directly into your linked bank account. BookAm cannot refund a client on your behalf.

5. Identity Verification (KYC)

To maintain a secure and trustworthy platform, BookAm requires Vendors to undergo identity verification (KYC). You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete identity information. We securely encrypt and route this data to our authorized verification partners to validate your identity. BookAm reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that fail verification or provide fraudulent information.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent behavior, or created excessive chargebacks/disputes.

Upon account deletion, your public booking pages will be taken offline immediately. We may retain certain transactional records for security and compliance purposes in accordance with applicable law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, BookAm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the past six months.
